WE have a very small circle of friends that we have limited contact with and have use now started to see our family members in person. Social distancing conscious, but life goes on.

Yes, a kidney transplant recipient, mid 50's, overweight, touch and go but made it after 11 days in ICU.

The Transplant Games were cancelled and it is a great source of motivation, joy, connection, friendship and an affirmation of life. I always need something to look forward to… so I have to come up with new things to look forward to… camping trip plans this summer, for example.

what is a caregiver. I have a husband but he’s certainly not viewed as a caregiver.

I do not wear a mask on my walks, but I live in a smallish town in which it’s easy to keep lots of distance.

I miss socializing and being with my friends and family. I live all alone without human contact so it’s been challenging . luckily I have my cat Ricky , but not the same. I’m a very social in person people person so it’s her hard.

Great point about spouses/partners curtailing their own activity to protect us. my wife is an avid extrovert, but has been heroic about staying home.

we have been ordering online grocery shopping but my husband has been laid off and I am starting to realize the high mark-up on cost

lots of cooking going on in my household...in weekends we have a 'cook-off' competition - make/eat/judge..:-)

I think the tension in the house is less from being together all the time and more that it's just one more thing to worry about. There's already so much it feels like.

My neighbor and family have also been buying groceries for me as well… sometimes we can ask people, including neighbors on “NextDoor” to help us out.

I am perfectly content with watching events and celebrations on tv from my living room. Knowing I am away from all of those out there walking around without a mask, I am A-Okay.

We have a monthly transpalnt support group through TRIO KC and we get together via zoom. It’s been really helpful

I make sure to remind my adult children to continue to wear a mask, and social distance. If they come by to visit once a week, they wear a mask in my home during the time they are here, and I take their temperature as they walk in the door. They don't mind, since they know the importance of not getting mom sick.
